I may just be being greedy and I am sure nobody minds getting tech stuff for free, but looking at the products given away, I can't help but wonder if TechTree could manage to give away better stuff than they do. Half the time I've never even heard of the accessories/peripherals being given away. Give away a 27" iMac, a iPhone 4, an iPod Touch 32 GB, Sennheiser or Phonak Audio earphones, a damn good pair of desktop speakers like B&W MM-1 or Bose Companion 3, a Dell XPS 15 laptop, a PS3 Slim, a Sony Cybershot camera, pc games like Deus Ex: Human Revolution or Dead Space 2, an iPad 2... you know, the good stuff. It'll make the giveaway contests something to look forward to.... giving away stuff that many people really really want and dream of owning someday... Stuff like that costs a lot of money? Sure it does but imagine the cheer it'll spread. Now, the honchos who run TechTree may scoff at the idea and give it nothing more than a dismissive wank, I know that. You may say I am a dreamer but I am not the only one...

For me it's a row which takes space in the home page. I have never opened it.

Yep!! I stopped too. Earlier i used too. In fact, it doesn't make any difference unless they giveaway some useful products. These giveaways will helps the sites to get some boosting but on a long run i don't think any site would survive because of it. TT might not be doing it for advertsing their site but still at the end, it is the TT that will succeed or fail. Rather they can encourage their readers to write for them and publish few goodones as guest articles and then present giveaways to them. It's utterly bad that even tech sites won't encourage such and simply asking their readers to prove their luck.
