The tracking ball of my BlackBerry Pearl refuses to move downwards. So i had to put the phone out of use. I am also hesitant to give it to service center for the fear that someone may snoop on my finance related information, which are stored in the phone. What should be done?

Hi, I am using Blackberry pearl 8100 since 8 months, got this from US. The trackball is not moving leftside. Please do let me know if anyone in Bangalore does repair it. There is one in Electronic city but dont have address.
