I made a partition on my drive and it asked me to re-boot my computer. When I did, a blue screen poped up and said there was an error. I couldnt get in even on safe mode. The message always appears. What should I do?

intel 3 Ghz HT processor.
recently i am having 80 GB seagate SATA HDD
which is 3 year old an now making cluttring noise.
i defragment my drive a lot of time,also reinstall OS,reformat,changed cable but problem is as it is.
what should i do?????

suggest me will 250 GB or 320 GB HDD will support my mother board
diff between
SATA1 and SATA2 HDD
will SATA 2 support my M/B
please suggest me........

I am not able to access my partioned drives and when i click the icon windows pops up a list of programs to choose from. I am only able to access them when I use explorer

I had a seagate sata hdd 80gb that was not working properly, some times the system was unable to detect, some times it was going to PIO(Processor I/O) mode, sometimes even during os installation it stpped responding at all.
Now i have got a replacement drive from seagate, and it also started malfunctioning, it started giving short dst failure, long dst error.
I want to know, whether the replacement drive is faulty or there is a problem with the sata controller mounted on the main moard (ASUS P5GC MX).
Is there any way so that i can check where the exact problem lies at my home.

I bought a hp dv2700 notebook which had windows vista installed in it. I face a lot of problems while installing softwares. So I want to install xp. But when I install it shows a message "Windows did not find any hard drives installed in ur computer". There are no options to disable sata in bios utility.
Please guide me in this regard.

i recently bought acer laptop which is coming with linux, now i want to install win-xp -sp2, how do i remove linux & install xp, even i want to change partition also.

I just bought a new pc and the CMOS showed that the hard disk has a total of 500GB memory. But when i try to setup microsoft xp, the total available partition space is only 131 GB. There are no other partitions created. Where did the remaining 369GB go?

I have Tally5.4 it works fine on vista, win98 but on winxp first it used to work but after a few times of work it starts giving exception and stops working. What could be the reason for this.
