    Logitech MX5500 Cordless Desktop [Review]

Roydon Cerejo, Mar 12, 2009 1610 hrs IST

    It's time for a 'Revolution'

Comfortable, plenty of shortcut keys, good battery life, uses Bluetooth, multi-function LCD display.

Expensive, keyboard cannot be turned off, mouse is only for right-handed people.

Logitech unleash their latest MX5500, and we tell you if it's worth its price. This is Logitech's ultimate wireless keyboard mouse combo, the MX5500 Revolution. The next iteration to the popular MX 3200 Laser Desktop, the best got even better with a larger LCD display and the killer MX Revolution mouse. This seems like a great option for those looking to control their HTPC from their couch, or even their PS3 for that matter.

We'll check out the bundle and the packaging first, and then get on to the whole experience of the MX5500.

I must say that the packaging is really good, with the box having a double layer of cardboard and the keyboard and mouse securely placed in a plastic tray.

This is what you get with the MX5500 Revolution:

  • -Driver CD
  • - Instruction leaflet
  • -Docking station for the mouse
  • -Bluetooth dongle

Features are good especially in the mice. Keyboard has some nice features which can be user friendly. The pricing as techtree said is really expensive and it must come down. C'mon guys. this is recession time and if you want to sell the product dont' sit in the glass palaces.
