A fine-looking portable drive that delivers decent performance

Gorgeous looks, good performance, good software bundle

We have reviewed quite a few of the external drives available in the markets, and while most of them are plain boring to look at; the Western Digital My Passport Elite 320GB is a bit different than the rest. We put this sleek and compact portable hard drive through our tests to find out if its beauty is only superficial.

Quick Start Guide

Custom case discount coupon

WD does not provide a software CD with this drive, as the software is provided on the drive itself. You therefore need to back it up before you start using the drive or will have to download it from the WD website if something goes wrong.

The drive comes with just a USB cable and if your computer cannot power it up, then you may need to purchase a separate USB + Power Y cable. Being a premium product, it would have been better if WD would have provided a carry pouch with this drive. The custom case discount coupons let you avail up to 20% off the special casings that can be ordered online for the drive.

If it nots Value for money . How come you give it a 3.5 rating ? In Rs . 7000 one can get 2 320 Gb Drives with minor performance difference ! . Just feel that Techtree at first reviews the wrong products and then overrates them . Consider that They never reviewed Geforce 8400 m gs which is the most popular graphic card in laptops !

Dude. Why are you bothered about the freaking RATING as if your life depended on it? Doesn't the author clearly say its NOT value for money? Or is there this rule that non value for money products should get less than three stars?
