WD does not provide a software CD with this drive, as the software is provided on the drive itself. You therefore need to back it up before you start using the drive or will have to download it from the WD website if something goes wrong. The drive comes with just a USB cable and if your computer cannot power it up, then you may need to purchase a separate USB + Power Y cable. Being a premium product, it would have been better if WD would have provided a carry pouch with this drive. The custom case discount coupons let you avail up to 20% off the special casings that can be ordered online for the drive.
