Thanks to the micro-ATX form factor, this motherboard will fit into almost any modern cabinet. The layout is quite good with sufficient spacing for all the ports. ECS has used the default green PCB and the stock heat sink, which is fine, given that it's an entry-level board.
The front panel consists of four USB ports, an Ethernet LAN jack, VGA port, serial port, PS2 mouse and keyboard ports, and of course six-channel audio from VIA.
The CPU area is quite barren and there was no problem in installing the heat sink. However, there is a two-phase power regulator along with a couple of capacitors. The G41T-M accepts up to 8GB of DDR2 800MHz memory, which is more than you'll ever need.
The ICH7 Southbridge is unprotected mainly due to the fact that it does not heat up much. This older version supports just four SATA ports and a single IDE channel.
