Technology research firm iSuppli has revealed that RIM's iPhone killer, the Blackberry Storm, costs $30 more to manufacture than Apple's iPhone, reports Reuters.

The report mentions that the manufacturing cost of one Storm adds up to $202.89 as compared to the iPhone's $174.33. The Storm also leads in terms of the components used -- with as many as 1177 parts being used in the device. In comparison, the iPhone's component count stands at a slightly lower figure of 1116.

The BlackBerry Storm has managed to sell over a million units since its November launch and competes with Apple's iPhone in select markets thanks to its enhanced multimedia abilities.

apple should lower the price of iphone what makes them stick to a hefty price with a phone with only 2megapixel camera no proper gps and the list go on.and not tto forget apple so called software market which indian customer will pay even a penny to buy software for a phone and that also so costly.while symbian software are available all free in the internet
