The manufacturing cost of one Storm adds up to $202.89 as compared to the iPhone's $174.33
Technology research firm iSuppli has revealed that RIM's iPhone killer, the Blackberry Storm, costs $30 more to manufacture than Apple's iPhone, reports Reuters.
The report mentions that the manufacturing cost of one Storm adds up to $202.89 as compared to the iPhone's $174.33. The Storm also leads in terms of the components used -- with as many as 1177 parts being used in the device. In comparison, the iPhone's component count stands at a slightly lower figure of 1116.
The BlackBerry Storm has managed to sell over a million units since its November launch and competes with Apple's iPhone in select markets thanks to its enhanced multimedia abilities.
