Spice Mobiles has launched its latest mid level handset the S-940, directed at the youth. The phone comes with innovative applications that might turn out to be very handy tools.

On the features front, the device comes with a fairly large 2.4-inch screen and a 2 megapixel camera. It has 8 MB of internal memory and supports memory cards upto 2GB. The 240*320 screen is comparable with that of its peers. The phone weighs 96 grams and the 1000 mAH battery provides it a 350 hour standby and a 5 hour talk time.

As for the applications that come bundled with the phone, these include the following:

Ibibo: A customized mobile version of the Indian community website Ibibo.
Email2Sms: The service allows users to access their emails via SMS, without having to pay for the Internet
Mgurujee: Spice Mobiles has tied up with Mgurujee to provide content directed at IIT-JEE, CAT and other competitive exam aspirants. The program also provides test papers and latest updates, all on the go.
Privacy Lock: This feature will allow you to keep your personal files away from prying eyes by locking the phone and denying access to anyone trying to access it.

The phone is on sale now and is priced at Rs. 5999.

Its an owesome phone, it looks like china phones, but it is entirely different and good to use...good battery back up and good stereo effect.
