We used DisplayMate to conduct a variety of tests ranging from Geometric Pattern tests to the Color reproduction test (and everything in between).
The 2233SW breezed through the Geometry and Distortion tests with much ease. The Samsung 2233SW displays sharp images with great color reproduction without any distortion, bleeding or streaking of colors. The overall image quality was good but, as always, there was the famed mismatch in the Horizontal Color Registration Test.
This being a Full HD monitor it was imperative for us to watch a few 1080p movies and the experience the HD-ness of the monitor. The display quality was great with sharp pictures and good color and skin tone reproduction. We played the latest Need For Speed: Undercover and Mirror's Edge and did not find any ghosting, bleeding or streaking of colors, thanks to the fast 5ms response time that the panel supports.
Gamers beware! You'll need a really powerful graphics card if you're planning to play latest games at HD resolution using this monitor.
The only problems I faced was in the HCR test when running display mate with more than usual light leaking across the panel from the lamp. But strangely, this didn't affect the picture quality when we were watching HD movies.
Verdict
The Samsung 2233SW is available for Rs. 9,000 and comes with a one-year warranty. Add to that another 250-300 bucks you'll spend for a DVI-D cable. For this price and performance, the Samsung 2233SW easily beats the BenQ E2200HD, which also is a 22-inch Full HD monitor.
I have no problems recommending this to all movie buffs. Gamers, once again, you'll need a powerful graphics card if you want to play computer games at Full HD resolution.

While that is true, I wanted to note that I had no problems playing games in lower resolutions - it stretches the image conveniently and pretty much looks like a console.
worst thing in this monitor is to be mounting tha stand/ bracket, which is very tough i donot understand why samsung company provided such complicated.
i think it'll be good to add a few stores in metros like delhi, mumbai, bangalore, etc where one can find the product.
the monitor looks good, and i think this is the one which was launched recently as Green monitors.
