    Apple's new aluminum unibody 17-inch MacBook Pro is available in India for Rs 1,62,600.

Apple's refreshed 17-inch MacBook Pro with aluminum unibody enclosure is now launched in India for Rs. 1,62,600. The new 17-inch MacBook Pro with MacBook Air like non-removable lithium battery was announced at the MacWorld 2009. Also, new iWork 09 and iLife 09 software suites are available for Rs. 4,700 each.



The new 17-inch MacBook Pro has got unibody revision with non-removable lithium battery that promises an eight-hour battery life of integrated graphics and seven hours while using discrete graphics. It has 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 6MB L2 cache, Nvidia GeForce 9400M integrated graphics, 512MB RAM, and Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT discrete graphics. Apple offers upgrade option for updating CPU to 2.93GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and memory up to 8GB RAM. Storage can be beefed up to 320GB 7200RPM HDD or a 128GB/256GB SSD. 


Also, the iWork 09 productivity suite with new application updates and enhancements is made available for the Indian audience at a price point of Rs. 4,700. While the iLife 09 suite, which is aimed at consumers, is available at the same price.

However, note that there's a price difference of Rs. 25,000 in the 17-inch MacBook Pro between the US price Rs. 1,36,000 approx. ($2800) and Indian  price Rs. 1,62,600.

Dear steve jobs its not fair u ve increased the price for indian customers why?? indians money is an black money or what?? u should decrease the amount as less as United States so that every indian who is dreaming to buy macbook pro they can purchase my humble request is to plzz plzz reduce the prices.. u are earning from whole world please dont take more money from us God will bless u dear steve jobs earn less from us i can bet u if u do this u might become top seller in indian market.
