After bringing the Gmail gadget to Google Desktop, the Google team has got the Google Calendar next. Pepped up with a clear interface, users can keep track of their appointments and important events on their Google Desktop.

Benjamin Schirmer's, Google software engineer and intern, post on the Gmail blog also mentions that the new Google Calendar gadget fully supports Google Apps Calendars and offers three different viewing modes.

You can create new events by a simple click on Add Event and then fill in the respective details. Later, when a scheduled event is clicked, the details of the event will appear with a snapshot of the location on Google Map, list of attendees, and of course, the start and end time of the event.

This Google Calendar is downloadable for the latest Google Desktop version for the Windows, Mac, and Linux based systems.
