Dedicated music control keys spotted along the edge of the display highlight the phone's music-lover oriented intentions
A prototype of the yet-to-be announced Nokia 5730 XpressMusic has appeared at Mobile-Review for a detailed preview.
The music-oriented device has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard apart from the standard numeric keypad and sports a 3.2 mega pixel camera with auto focus and LED flash. As for the OS, prima facie it appears to be using the Series 60 third edition Feature Pack 2 interface. To highlight the phone's music-lover oriented intentions, dedicated music control keys can be spotted along the edge of the display. Both the keypads, QWERTY and the standard one, do not feature printed alphabets/signs, instead, it uses a cooler looking backlit dot matrix styled text.
The device is expected to be positioned slightly below the current Nokia flagship, the 5800 XpressMusic, once it is launched. It will feature WiFi and GPS with a built-in receiver. The previewed unit used a 1000mAH BL-4U battery, which seems to be more than sufficient for normal usage.
The device is expected to be announced tomorrow and will be on sale by April. While there has been no word on the expected pricing, according to the Mobile Review, it will be around the 220 Euro mark (Rs. 14,000).
