Post sightings of listings of silicone casings by a Chinese manufacturer for a certain iPhone Nano, the rumor has recurred now suggesting that a mini version of Apple's iPhone will be launched sometime in June.

This time, the rumor has made its way into the internet Blogosphere through the Taiwanese semiconductor industry.

According to Digitimes.com, Chinese newspaper Economic Daily News (EDN) has reported that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) and United Microelectronics Corp. (UMC) are likely land chip orders for Apple's low-cost entry-level iPhone Nano.

Follow up rumors suggest that this little iPhone may not cater to the US market. The stripped-down version of the iPhone is expected to shed some features as well. Whatever it does, we hope it's marvelous and within the aficionados' reach.

Lastly, if the rumor were to be believed, the June launch actually works out quite perfectly as Apple's CEO Steve Jobs is likely to resume regular work at that time - what a coincidence!
