Nokia has announced the debut of the N79 Active, a version of the N-Series smartphone directed at the fitness conscious.


 


Featuring a host of fitness monitoring applications and add-ons, the N79 aims to be the constant companion of fitness freaks and offers 4GB memory, not to mention, a Polar heart rate monitor that ships with the device. The phone also comes loaded with a new version of the Nokia Sports Tracker application with added features.


 


The Active edition of the N79 also comes with sporty headphones and an armband, to keep things in place while you work out. All the other features remain the same as the stock N79, including the size, the 5 megapixel camera, and the FM transmitter.


 


The N79 Active will be made available in select markets and will go on sale for an estimated price of EUR 375 (24,270 INR).
