The malware steals personal details like bank account numbers from subscribers

Are you a Paris Hilton fan and visit her official website to hog on the latest dope about her frequently? Your PC might be at risk of being infected by a virus that has been planted on Hilton's official website www.parishilton.com.

The malware, which was spotted by the computer security consultants ScanSafe, steals personal details like bank account numbers from subscribers, according to a media report.

While the users are going through the website, a phony pop-up box appears urging the users to download software to proceed further and for a better viewing experience. Users have the option to select 'Cancel' or 'OK'. Whichever option they choose, the virus will be downloaded to the user's computer. According to ScanSafe, the malware has been detected on 15,000 other websites too.
