We had already reported that Bharti Airtel and Vodafone have the most congested networks according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI); now, there will be some respite for mobile users in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane from problems due to call drops and poor call quality.

This is because flyovers and bridges in these areas are now being fitted with signal-transmitting equipment to prevent call drops, according to a report by Mid Day.

These spots are prone to call drops due to bad network and have never been covered by mobile phone companies. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has decided to fix the transmission equipment atop street light poles as they will not need a separate source of power supply.

We hope this brings some relief to cellphone users who are dissatisfied with their respective network providers.
