Britain-based VAS provider Swanbaymtech to broadcast free content on Reliance handsets in an advertisement-supported model
Reliance Communications, in collaboration with a British company, will provide free video content to subscribers.
The CDMA major is currently launching its GSM mobile service across the country in a phased manner. Reliance Communications has already introduced its GSM service in Mumbai, Punjab, and Rajasthan.
Reliance Communications said Britain-based value-added services (VAS) provider Swanbaymtech will broadcast free content on Reliance handsets in an advertisement-supported model.
"The application offers an outstanding video quality hitherto not experienced by mobile users. Our initiative will act as a launch pad for ad-funded videos in India," claims Krishna Durbha, head of Reliance Communications' VAS division.
