Canon, Nikon, Samsung, Olympus, and Kodak are some of the major brands showcasing their products at this annual expo
All ye shutterbugs out there, head straight for the Photofair 2009 to lay your hands on some of the most-talked-about cameras. The fair is being held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from January 8-11, 2009.
Some of the major brands showcasing their products at this year's Photofair include Canon, Nikon, Samsung, Olympus, and Kodak.
Nikon is displaying its latest flagship professional camera - the D3X. The company, which is concentrating more on DSLR and lenses, has displayed about eight budget cameras ranging from Rs. 7,500 to Rs. 33,000. Nikon have also put up a service camp where a visitor's camera will be serviced free of cost.
Like last year, Sony has again shied away from the event. However, a distributor introduced Sony photo lab costing Rs. 2 lakh. This lab gives print economy of Rs. 7.50 per 4x6 inch.
For the first time, some exclusive photos of the recent terror attack that took place in South Mumbai will be exhibited.
So far, the number of visitors seems to be less than expected, but not bad considering it's a weekday. Maybe it's the cold that's keeping them out. However, there is a constant trickle coming in to take a look at what's on offer.
