Jimmy Wales NOT Out of Wikipedia

Recently, rumors were abuzz with the news of Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales reportedly out of job with his resignation from the Wikimedia Foundation Board
The news about Wale's job status was first reported by Valleyvag editor Owen Thomas who wrote, "Imagine an online encyclopedia anyone can edit -- and no one can run. Jimmy Wales, Wikipedia's...cofounder, is no longer a board member of the site's nonprofit foundation. Who's in charge here?" While the report talked about Wales' resignation, the report did not cite any sources.
However, in an e-mail to CNET news, Wikmedia's Sue Gardner, the director of the foundation, has revealed that Wales is still very much a part of the Wikipedia initiative. In addition to that, Jay Walsh, the foundation's director of communications, said he expects Wales to be a part of the foundation and did not see any reason why he would resign from the post in the near future. Walsh added that Wales is "absolutely" still a member of the board and that he, along with the two other members, had been "unanimously" confirmed for another term on the board.
It was just in April 2008 that the Wikimedia foundation re-organized its board and Wales was formalized as the founder trustee. He was, however, given the option to "opt out" anytime he chooses to do so - a thing that has not happened so far. Besides, the 10-member board has only seven members as of now and is still three members short and are looking for more people
