Asus introduced its P565, claiming it to be the 'World's
Fastest PDA', last month. We weren't expecting Asus to launch it this soon in India, but we
were wrong. The company today launched the P565 in the country.

The PDA comes with a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen with 480x640
resolution and sports a Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional with the memory support
of a 128MB DDR SDRAM and 256MB Flash memory.

It also offers the usual features like tri-band
GSM/GPRS/EDGE network support, UMTS, 3.6Mbps HSDPA, a 3 megapixel camera,
MicroSD with SDHC support, WiFi, Bluetooth, and SIRF III GPS support.

The phone features the new Glide user interface designed for
a touch-sensitive response when zooming, selecting, flipping, etc. Asus claims
that P565 has Vsbenchmark scores almost two times that of other competing
handsets.

Also, Asus has designed the battery backlid protection with
a leather cover similar to that found in Blackberry Bold. The phone is pre-loaded
with business-friendly features like push email, MS Office Mobile, Anytime
Launcher, Multi-Home, business card recognition, PDF viewer, etc.

The Asus P565 is now available for a whopping Rs. 35,000 at
a tech-mall near you. It comes with a 1-year handset warranty, while the
accessories are covered for 6 months.
