eBay Makes Elephants Happy

In an effort to save the dwindling elephant population
around the world, online market place eBay has banned the purchase and sale of ivory products on the website.

However, it has made an exception in two cases: Pianos with
ivory keys and wood furniture with ivory inlays will be permitted, as long as
the item was created before 1900.

This policy will be effective from Jan 1, 2009.
