A
screenshot of Mac OS X 10.6, code named Snow Leopard, from Sevenmac Community
shows Apple's footsteps towards 64-bit Mac OS X. The screen shows error message to restart
System Preferences in 32-bit mode to open Network Panel.
Unveiled
at Worldwide Developers Conference 2008 in June, the beta builds of Snow
Leopard have already been with the best testers.
Apple
is rumored to drop PowerPC support and even non-Intel machines. However, this
screenshot indicates that even 32-bit Intel processors might be eliminated for
the Snow Leopard support league. Today, lot of 32-bit Intel Core 2 Duo based
Macs are available.
