Has a 1.4-inch touchscreen display which will be used as a keypad for most operations
The upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2009 will witness the launch of LG's 'wristwatch-style 3G phone', called the LG-GD910.
The watch-phone has a 1.4-inch touchscreen display which will be used as a keypad for most operations. However, the watch also has a couple of buttons on its body for accessibility.
This water-proof device is WCDMA-based and supports the HSDPA (high-speed downlink packet access) data system. It also has a small camera on its body to make video calls.
Other features include Bluetooth, an MP3 player, a speakerphone, as well as a text-to-speech function.
The LG-GD910 will be available first in Europe - availability and price not known yet.
The device shown at the CES 2008 will be a prototype; the final product will be built on this one (LG-GD910).
