HP Compaq Mini 700 Netbook Out

HP Compaq has without any fanfare launched a new netbook for the European market.
The Mini 700 is almost a replica of its Mini 1000 netbook, which is being sold in other regions. Mini 700 also features the same 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, integrated GMA950 graphics, 1GB RAM and 60GB HDD.
The netbook comes preloaded with Windows XP and boasts a keyboard that is 92 percent of a full-sized one. Other integrated features are dual Altec Lansing speakers, webcam, mic, card reader and an Ethernet jack. Users can include more connectivity options by adding Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HSDPA module.
The Mini 700 will come with a 3-cell battery and will retail for around 425 Euros (approx. Rs. 29,000).
