A stylish dual-slider music phone with decent all-round performance.

Good design, Good audio quality, Comfortable keypad, Decent camera.

Low resolution display, No dedicated music keys, Low battery life.

The Beat270 is Samsung's mid-range music phone. The unique part about this phone is its dual-sliding design and stereo speakers below the slider. Along with music, the Beat270 also has a 2 megapixel camera, expandable memory, Bluetooth and GPRS/EDGE connectivity. Let us find out how the phone performs in our tests.

Bundle

I'd like to point out that Samsung did not send us all the supplied accessories with the test unit and hence we are unable to show you a snapshot of the entire bundle.

SAMSUNG PHONES are always handicapped in one way or other way regarding: 1.Battery life. 2. VERY Slow file system. 3. NO new folder can be created in main Menu. 4. Message or other text writing is not smooth though the keysad is good. In any Writing mode auto-capitalization of first letter is not done always.Symbol selection is complex. T9 mode is not so smooth as in NOKIA phones. 5. WEB browsers are always devoid of full menu. WHY? Even old Samsung C100 had a full OpenWave browser! 6. Opening Voice/Conversation recording during call is complex,e.g., during active call press OPTION>MENU>APPLICATION>VOICE RECORDER>ON. Troublesome. WHY are they making such IMPERFECT but most beautiful phones?

hey, seems the phone u reviewed isn't a samsung phone- the label under the screen reads 'Anycall' and Anycall happens to be a Chinese manufacturer who makes those stunning ripoffs. I don't know, but this review doesn't seem legit! Weird, you guys... eager 4 da christmas hols, huh? That phone ain't a samsung for sure- though it looks EXACTLY the same (screen included)

The handset we received was straight from Samsung India. I don't think Samsung would send us a Chinese rip-off of one of their own phones.
