New Spice Mobile handsets to have the Nimbuzz application installed for users to chat, message, and send files on the go
Nimbuzz, the mobile instant messaging, (geo) presence, and VoIP provider, has inked a major distribution deal with Spice Mobiles, India.
According to the terms of the deal, all new Spice Mobile handsets will have the Nimbuzz application pre-installed for users to chat, message, and send files on the go. Additionally, Spice Mobiles will also join Nimbuzz's global Manufacturer Affiliate Program. Spice Mobile on its part will start off a flurry of marketing campaigns, which will include promotion of the Nimbuzz brand with the help of Nimbuzz logos, links, and information about the service.
The Nimbuzz community has its users spread in over 200 countries, and the Nimbuzz application apart from offering multi-client IM functionality also integrates social networking capabilities within the program - differentiating it from most other services.
Nimbuzz is buoyant about India's 300 million mobile user base, which is set to reach 737 million by 2012, and sees the latest deal as a step towards bringing its service closer to the masses.
