Sony India has introduced two new Blu-ray products to its suite of full high-definition gadgets - Blu-ray Disc Player (BDP-S350) and Blu-ray Home Theatre (HTSF2300), priced at Rs. 24,990 and Rs. 36,990, respectively.

Featuring innovative technology with exceptional design and easy-to-use functionality, these latest audio component solutions provide a range of entertainment options for any home.

Blu-ray Disc Player

The BDP-S350 displays interactive features such as BD Live and easy access to the latest updates on Blu-ray. Featuring an external port to enable extra storage capacity, the player can upscale standard definition DVDs to near-HD quality. Even if the DVD is old and scratched, they ensure minimal degradation in picture quality, the company claims.

The player consumes 21 percent less power in playback mode and 43 percent less in stand-by mode, the company said.

Home Theatre System

The HTSF2300 system features 5.1 channel surround sound and 1,000 watts of total output through five speakers and subwoofer.

BRAVIA Sync technology incorporated gives users full control over their BRAVIA LCD TV, Blu-ray player and Blu-ray Home Theatre, with one remote. In addition, Sony's set-up system, D.C.A.C calibrates all speakers according to speaker placement, distance and delay.

The products will be available at Sony-owned stores, select Sony authorized dealers, as well as national retail partners across the country.

Why would anyone buy the BDP-S350 at 25K when they can buy a PS3 with similar features for 24K?
