With the increasing popularity of their Apple Retail Stores and their website, don't feel the need to participate now
Mac fanboys will be sad to know that this year's Macworld Expo will be the last one where Apple will be exhibiting their wares. Apple says that such expos were a way to give their products more exposure, but with the increasing popularity of their Apple Retail Stores and their website, they don't feel the need to participate now.
To add insult to injury, the opening keynote address at the last ever Macworld Expo to be attended by Apple will not be done by Steve Jobs but by Philip Schiller, Apple's senior VP of Worldwide Product Marketing.
Apple has been withdrawing from exhibiting its products at trade shows in recent years, from NAB, Macworld New York, Macworld Tokyo, and Apple Expo in Paris.
