Build & Design

The Sony Ericsson C905 is a fine-looking handset. We received the Ice Silver color option which I found to be the best of the lot as I have a personal inclination toward metal finish. There is also a Bond Version of the C905, which basically is the black version, the most preferred of the three color options.
The C905 may not look all that sophisticated but it's got class. The look and feel of this slider from Sony Ericsson is really good. It's a bit bulky but feels like a block that can take a beating.

The build quality of the C905 on the other hand is debatable. While its sliding mechanism is top quality and works smooth, the external keys, the alphanumeric keypad and especially the lens cover could have been better.

On the face of the phone is a thin chrome strip on which the light sensor and the earpiece of the phone are placed. At either end are media buttons, which also turn into gaming buttons.
Below is the not-so-large 2.4-inch screen of the C905, which makes it media unfriendly. A 2.8-inch screen would have surely done the job. But I guess in the process of keeping things compact they have compromised on the screen size, which is acceptable to an extent.
