    Kobian's new Mercury PerfectView 1990 series LCD monitors expected to reach retail shelves next week

Kobian has released a new series of LCD monitors under its Mercury brand. The 1990 series of monitors currently comprises of 15" and 19" models and is expected to expand with the launch of 18.5" and 22" models in the near future.

Kobian boasts that Mercury PerfectView LCD Monitors are apt for office as well as home users, and are more power efficient than the current set of LCD monitors. Aesthetically, the monitors are not a let down. They come in an aluminium cabinet with a black color scheme and features a button-less design, harmonic circle stand, and a thin frame.

The specifications of the monitors include resolution support of 1440 X 900 pixels, contrast ratio of 2000:1, 300cd/m2 brightness, and support for analog RGB and DVI input. The monitors are equipped with a Dynamic Color Boost feature for better color reproduction, and they have an ECO mode to allow users to have multiple scene selections to view different content.

The price has not been revealed yet, but the monitors are expected to reach retail shelves next week.
