Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has launched its telecom operations in the Jammu & Kashmir Circle. The company is introducing its pre-paid and post-paid mobile phone services, fixed wireless telephony (Walky Talky), as well as value-added services in the state.
TTSL will provide coverage in 29 towns initially while 36 more towns will be covered shortly.
Tata Indicom says that it has deployed its CDMA network in the J&K Circle. The CDMA advantage ensures improved call quality with better and consistent sound, minimum call drops, enhanced privacy and network efficiency.
To increase its national footprint, TTSL envisages an investment of over Rs. 100 crore in the state in the first phase. With Phase II of the services rollout round the corner, this number is expected to grow substantially, the company said. TTSL has over 100 cell sites already in place.
Tata Indicom products and services will be available at exclusive Tata Indicom showrooms and several retail selling points across the state.
