No it's not your heart or your skin, now mobile phones are bad for your soul.
According to the Pope Benedict XVI's spokesman Father Federico, internet and mobile phones are not leaving people enough time for spiritual pursuits. So, without a spiritual life, people are at risk of losing their souls.
Father Lombardi in a television show told the Vatican, "In the age of the cell phone and the internet it is probably more difficult than before to protect silence and to nourish the interior dimension of life. It is difficult but necessary. There is an interior and spiritual dimension of life that must be guarded and nourished. If it is not, it can become barren to the point of drying up and, indeed, dying."
He added, "Today, this is a very grave threat, and it is the most irreparable misfortune."
It's not the first time Vatican has slammed technology, in the past Pope Benedict had warned people about excessive use of technology. But ironically, the pontiff had sent SMSs to thousands of young Catholics on their mobile phones during the World Youth Day in Sydney.
