We'd done the Motorola ROKR E8 some time back, and today in the labs we have a similar looking model. It's called the EM30 and is a cheaper version of the E8. Does this budget music-phone have what it takes to impress us? Let's find out...

stay the heck away from motorola.interface and build quality both suck.and redington service centres are filled with incompetent and unhelpful idiots.i am so glad i managed to dump my rokr e6.i'm loving my p1i right now.

the problem is not with MOTOROLA...Nokia,Samsung, LG al suck!!, the only thing with Nokia is its popular so u can get its accessories every where

I have been using EM30 for last 7 months or so and before that I had an E8 as well that I used for around 1 year. While goin thru all the reviews below I figure out majority of anti Motorola reviews.. I wd say its all subjective as I never ever had any problems with my piece and I really consider it as good value for money music phone. EM30 is available at around Rs.5500 in Crome stores as well. again its all personal preferences, I didnt face those issues of ergonomics with the phone as much. I liked its looks and till now I am relish using it.

I thought Motorola uses their own patented texting technology called iTAP, and not T9?

Buy a Moto for the looks, but their after-sales service will be the death of you, especially if its a Redington service centre. Simply awful.

I have purchased Motorola EM30 but of no use. it stardted probleming from very next day also its battery works only for to 5 hrs whether you receive call on it or not is immatter also after sales service is very bad so i suggest all readers not to buy any of motorola set

EM30mobile phone out look,camara clarity,display clarity all are very super but no sound effect for ear phone (compare to w230)

HI I AM USING THIS EM30 FOR THE LAST ONE WEEK, ITS NOT VERY USER FRIENDLY LIKE L9. ALSO ITS BATTERY STANDS FOR LISTENING ONLY THREE TO FOUR SONGS AND ALSO THE AUDIO QUALITY IS NOT APPRICIABLE. THE WMP11 CANNOT BE LOADED IN A COMPUTER THAT USING NON VALID WINDOWS XP, THIS IS ALSO ONE OF THE WORST THING. THIS PHONE DOES NOT SUPPORT ALL VIDEO FORMS EVEN IN THE 3GPP FORMAT IT DOES NOT PLAY HIGHERF BIT RATE VIDEOS LIKE L9. THE ONLY ADVANTAGE IS THE UPTO 8Gb EXPANDABLE MEMORY, BUT IT IS NO USE FOR THIS PHONE AS IT HAS SO MANY LIMITATIONS IN PLAYING VIDEOS AND AUDIOS. NO PROPER EXPLANATORY CATLOG IS GIVEN ALONG WTH. I CAN GIVE 45MARKS OUT OF 100 TO THIS PHONE. BE CAREFUL FRIENDS.

I will be advice to all people not to buy any MOTOROLA products, because in warranty periods they do not care their consumers, and they charged for inspection the faulty set in w period also. I purchased ordered a Motorola Mobile phone from M/s Future Bazaar, and made the payment through credit card, and received the product without battery charger. Then I phoned to M/s Future Bazaar several times than after two months I received the charger, but after hardly about 45 days the set stop charging the battery but all other functions are working properly. Then I send it to their authorised service centre at Lajpat Nagar New Delhi, they charged me Rs 175/- for inspection, I paid that amount then after two days they gave me estimate for mend the set, i.e.Rs.6000/- not in writing only verbal estimate. Then I wrote several times to their customer care, initially they reply, but now they are not replying to my emails. I could not under why a such reputed Multinational company is doing the kind services to their consumers. I discuss the matter with lawyer, and advice me to get their registered address, so we can file the case to consumer court, then again I requested to their customer care through e.mail to give me the proper registered official address to send them legal notice, now they are not replying to my emails. If any body wanted to see my correspondence about my case .Do not BUYby MOTOROLA Brand products. Any one wants to get this experience before buying MOTOROLAMOTOROLA,MOTOROLA; please must visit their Service centre at LAJPATNAGAR first and yourself feels how much and why I am so Dissatisfied from them.

Yaa, I agree with him, I have also this kind of experience. In short I also advice to all persons NOT TO BUY MOTOROLA products, its only good looking but not durable and about after sales service unbelievable their staff is very rude and money minded, and they aim will be always to blame the user of product. I again request to all people of world not to buy MOTOROLA products.

I am using this phone since the past one month along with my iPhone ......I must say that the phone is great value for money amazing batt life n once u get used to the keypad it's not bad. Also the dedicated music buttons are nice. All in all great value for money.

Not only Motorola, it is the same with Nokia, Sony, Samsung, LG etc..Their service is really bad. It is better to buy it in the grey market without warranty instead of buying it in the showroom. Even if we buy it in the showroom we need to pay for repairs under warranty. BTW why would anyone buy a mobile through Future Bazaar? You should be out of your mind and only you are to be blamed. Mobile phones should be inspected before buying. No point suing them as it is one among thousand's of cases for that company.
