This is probably the most symmetrical and eye-catching mouse I've seen. The Arc mouse has got some serious style, there's no denying that. The entire upper body is made up of rubberized plastic that prevents fingerprints and adds to the grip. The overall surface feels really nice in your hands and the arch is very comfortable, as it allows your entire palm to rest naturally.

Since it's symmetrical, both the sides sport the same design with an extra button on the left side. By default it acts as the 'Back' button, but you can customize it after installing the IntelliPoint software.
I found the button a little out of my reach actually, and I had to shift my wrist forward in order to use it, which was a little annoying. However, even after shifting my grip to reach the button, it felt a little uncomfortable to use the mouse as my fingers came in contact with the mousepad making navigation inconvenient.
Either way it will take some time getting used to the new form.

Having a hinge placed anywhere should always be done with care for a simple reason that it will wear out with time. Luckily the Arc mouse seems to have a sturdy hinge and seem to respond well to our stress test (Courtesy of Mr. Frazier Barreto who used it as an F.B.I badge). The build is as solid as it can get with zero creaks or movement when opened or closed.
Another thing I liked about it is that, even when closed, the rubberized coating covers the hinge resembling a lobster's tail, very tastefully done indeed. The hinge also acts as an on/off switch to conserve battery.

The plastic scroll wheel has grooves for better grip and has an audible click while scrolling; great for when you're gaming. Above the wheel is the battery indicator that lights up once you turn the mouse on.
