Sony Ericsson G900

Sony Ericsson's successful P-Series, which was known to provide great convergence for business phone, has not hampered the rise of the G900. This handset provides good convergence but looks like a standard mobile phone without any frills. However, it has the power and functionality to provide convergence almost similar to the handsets mentioned in this guide.

Sony Ericsson G900 plays the role of both a workbox and a casual device. It doesn't feel out of place when you walk into office or a party. The G900 is a compact business phone running on the latest Symbian UIQ 3, which is highly optimized and runs smoothly while accomplishing various tasks thrown at it.

The screen of the phone is touchscreen and is 2.8-inch large. It is comfortable to use with either a stylus or your finger. The G900 for its business features has to its credit the Blackberry Connect 4.0 and is capable of working with various documents. The handset also has a 5MP camera, which is, let's say, not really needed. The camera has simply taken up the cost of the handset and hence does not make it the best choice.

Moreover, the camera quality isn't up to the mark but only its touch focus is impressive. But since it's not the camera but the convergence of business activities that we are focusing on, the G900 is good even with its subtle looks.

A very limited list of business phones. I would prefer to go for a Windows Mobile based phones than the proprietory OS ones. This because, viewing attachments to emails, mostly in India are by MS Office, compatibility matters. i-mates, HTCs, Samsung are missing !

I would like to replace the Sony Ericsson G900 with the Apple iPhone 3G. Though the cost is a bit exorbitant, it does its job better than many of the handsets mentioned.

This time you really impressed. Personally I may have added 1 or 2 more phones. But then it would have been a tough call - whom to remove from your list. That is why in general all the devices which you have selected are worthy of being kept in the 'Best' category. If you ask me to choose one I will choose E71 and for budget sensitive buyers E51. Good Choice. Keep it up!
