Pressing any of the alphanumeric key, activates the key backlight, which is also orange. The backlight on the keys are even and all the of them are illuminated properly. Except for the function keys, we have a full-fledged keyboard like you would find on most laptops.

The battery indeed lasts for a day just like Logitech advertises, which is really impressive. Even though the indicator may show half a bar, don't let that fool you as you'd be surprised how much battery time it's able to deliver.
The small dot beside the battery indicator is the light sensor which detects the ambient lighting and accordingly adjusts the intensity of the backlight and the duration that further helps in saving battery life.

The little switch above the backspace key changes the diNovo from keyboard mode into media center mode, which is designed to work with Windows XP/Vista Media Center. Apart from the change in lighting, notice the trackpad is changed to a directional pad (D-pad) to navigate through Windows Media Center.
