It's been a really long time since we received something from Altec Lansing. Altec Lasing has rebranded itself and its new logo reflects a very fresh look. The speaker company has had a range of docking stations but they all only served the iPod family.

Altec Lansing realized that there was a market for portable speakers for mobile phone and Mp3 players. The Orbit M is just the right accompaniment for an audio player or a mobile phone that is accessible through a 3.5mm or 2.5mm jack. Let's see how well the Orbit M performs and find out if it really is a good portable speaker solution.

fore some more bucks u will be able to buy a spherical blue tooth speaker from sonyericsson which has definitely very crystal clear soud to be played on air by ur mob device and at the same time the portablity is also maintained ............

i am selling altec lansing since last 6 years but my local distributor has not even heard about this product yet. please help me in procuring atleast 25 nos for reselling this in my town

its not convenient for a traveler to keep watch on batteries all the time.pretty sad altec dint provide any provision to use adapter to run it directly from mains.

Well well Frazier. Would have loved to hear how does this compare against the X-Mini ? X-Mini sells in 1300-1500 range and has rechargeable battery that can be charged off any USB device. Don't have X-Mini myself but have seen a demo and it felt damn good.
