Google's 3D modeling software, SketchUp, has been updated, making it easier for newbies to jump onto the bandwagon. This new release has some nice inclusions that make SketchUp more intelligent than before.
Dynamic Components: With Dynamic Components, the object in the program behaves like a real-life object. For instance, a stair when resized, automatically adds more steps, or when the height of a cupboard is increased, it automatically adds more shelves, without losing scalability. Video embedded below.
Free SketchUp users will only be able to use the components from the 3D Warehouse while the Pro users have the freedom to create as well.
3D Warehouse: The warehouse is where users can find and share 3D models they have created. In earlier versions, the models were accessible only via an external browser. However, with version 7, Google has built in a component browser that allows the user to search for the models from the SketchUp itself. Also, a new credit option comes up to give appropriate credit to the creator.

The base version of SketchUp 7 is available for free while the Pro version goes for $495. You can download it from here.
