Gone are the good old days when video gaming made you fat, lazy and slow. The successor to the hippie culture, video gaming was cool. Video gamers were known for their over-sized addiction and they were happy that way. The way things are going right now, very soon gamers will be lean and mean and will play an RPG that makes you exercise, an FPS game that makes you lift weights and BO in an RTS won't mean build-order.
Now, video gamers worldwide are exercising in front of their TVs, all thanks to the cult hit called Wii Fit. EA also plans to join the bandwagon with EA Sports Active an "innovative new customizable and personalized fitness product" that will be available in stores from March and will cost $60, it will be playable on the Wii. The EA Sports Active will have two leg straps to hold the Wii's Nunchuk controllers and a resistance band to track upper body exercises.
The programs and exercise routines have been designed with the help of experts and are targeted primarily at women. EA wants to get people off the couch and in shape while having fun on the Wii. Sounds like a good plan, would you be interested?
