As per Digitimes, Nvidia and Via Technologies have called it quits for their plans of developing netbook platform. As per sources in Via: in April, both companies had entered into a deal for development of netbooks carrying Via's C7 and Nano processors packed with Nvidia's MCP79 Graphics Chipset, commonly known as the new GeForce 9400m.
Via has bid adieu to their motherboard business and plans to concentrate on processors after launching their Nano CPU. However, Nvidia-Via will work on the desktop front and will showcase their products at CES 2009.
Nvidia has no official comment to make on the same.
