With notebooks getting thinner by the day cooling them efficiently is starting to be a real challenge. Intel has come out with a new technology which should be able to solve that problem.
The new technology uses the example of a jet engine in which high temperatures should avoid reaching the wing as that is where the fuel is stored. This is accomplished by using a technology called laminar airflow cooling in which fluid flows in layers.
We will probably see this technology sometime next year in 2009 when this should be implemented in Notebooks.
