Aircel has announced a slash in ISD call rates for its pre-paid subscribers in Chennai and rest of Tamil Nadu circle.
The scheme is meant for calls specifically made to Malaysia and Singapore. When an Aircel pre-paid subscriber purchases a recharge coupon worth Rs. 96, he can make ISD calls to Malaysia and Singapore at Rs 3 per minute. While with a recharge coupon worth Rs. 29, calls to the same destinations cost Rs. 3.5 per minute.
This offer comes in view of the high number of Tamilians in Malaysia and Singapore.
Aircel, a join venture between Maxis Communications Berhad of Malaysia and Apollo Hospital Enterprise of India, has plans to become a full-fledged national operator by 2009.
