F-Secure has launched its Wellbeing 2009 security products for consumers globally. The package consists of Internet Security 2009, Anti-Virus 2009, Home Server Security 2009, Health Check and Online Wellbeing portal.

This new family of security products comes with a new technology dubbed DeepGuard 2.0 designed to recognize both safe and malicious software instantly using a real-time protection network. This new technology is touted to be faster and more accurate than anything seen before in blocking new threats and identifying malicious software. Moreover, it's fully automated, thus eliminating the need for user attention.

DeepGuard is a behavior-based detection engine designed to block new malware from infecting a system by analyzing how the file behaves when it is executed on the client computer. Basically, instead of just using one-way comparisons of a suspicious program against white lists and black lists, this new technology uses intelligent nodes with behavioral analysis capability. Priced at Rs. 2,700 (3-users), Internet Security 2009 promises improved performance with automatic installation in 90 seconds, with faster boot-up, scanning and disinfection times, and also comes with an improved parental control feature. In addition, the Wellbeing 2009 family also includes Anti-Virus 2009 and Home Server Security 2009 priced at Rs. 1,477 and Rs. 3,777, respectively.
