Build and Design
The Telome TS10x has a strong build; the speakers are made from high
quality eco-friendly materials. They are made weatherproof to suit
the Indian climatic conditions. The drivers have a coating over them,
which not only prevent wear and tear but also enhance the sound.
The satellite speakers consist of two cubes each; one on top of the
other. These cubes are rotatable and so while you can have the lower
cube/the lower half of the satellite facing one direction you can
have the other half/ the top cube facing in another direction. The
subwoofer is also built out of the same material like the cubes but
with more resistance. The subwoofer has a large ventilation hole that
covers almost half of its face.
These speakers may not appear to be the shiniest sets you may have
seen on AV magazines, as they are quite plain and simple. You can
also have a finish of your choice - the standard black or the wood
finish. The standard black finish looked a little too bland and
considering the size of the speakers they will be quite noticeable.
Setup

The TS10x is very simple to setup Home Theatre and is covered in the
price of the speakers. You have a digital setup that's to be set
about through your amp (depends on the amp you choose). Here is a
Wiring Diagram Displaying the setup of the speakers.
We had two satellites hung on the wall ahead and two behind, leaving
one laying flat in the centre in the front.
The wall brackets, even though positioned high, held the speakers at
a tilt. The tilt can be adjusted as to where you wish the speakers to
concentrate. The satellites were set in such a fashion that the lower
cube was facing straight down while the top cube would face the wall
to its side providing a reflection surface for the sound to achieve a
surround experience. The subwoofer was placed at a corner of the room
below the right speaker.

The Marantz SR3001 amplifier supplies plenty of useable power - a
full 60 watt per channel. This makes it a pretty good choice, even in
keeping with the money spent. It is also futureproof with its 7
analog stereo inputs and a full 7.1 channel input for today's most
modern sources. This amplifier also lets you choose the distance
between speakers along with several other digital enhancements (EQ.
Presets, Surround Options, etc.).
It has a 32 bit DSP ready to provide you the whole surround sound
experience. It has an optical and two coaxial digital inputs. This
will let you utilize the digital output seen even on some of the
latest motherboards, but it's strongly suggested that you pick a
Sound card for a couple of grand to get the best output.
