Moving away from being a luxury and lifestyle appliance, LCD televisions have come of age and now need more than a few good advertisements to be considered a serious option by consumers. Apart from spending a lot of money to develop technologies that make pictures look better, companies have also been concentrating on making the TV itself look better and add to the aesthetics of the home or office that they'll be put in to. LG's Scarlet and Samsung's L6 series of LCD TVs are proof of that. Now, the LG Scarlet, although good-looking, didn't manage to score much in terms of picture quality but the L6 line by Samsung seems to have been blessed with both good looks and a performance to match. Here's a review of Samsung's 46-inch model from the L6 line of LCD televisions. Design As with all the Samsung Series 6 650 series of HDTVs, the LA46A650A1 (46-inch) uses a crystal design process that provides elegant looking exterior and warmer tones that blend into any environment. It features smooth lines, warm tones and a paint-free manufacturing process.
The exteriors are glossy with a red tinted front bezel with hand-made design and touch controls at the side. The speakers are down, placed below the panel thus being completely out of your view. The stand for the TV comes in a glossy black finish and is quite sturdy and doesn't let the panel shake or vibrate.
For those asking the price i'm not sure of this one, but i have a 42" Phillips LCD 1080p HDTV and it was only $699, but the contrast ratio was only 2500:1. this thing has a 50000:1 which is the biggest i've ever heard for an lcd, including lcd's for pc monitors and it's 46" so it should be probably ~$3000-5000 because it's their new thing i suppose.
Saw it yesterday in Delhi for 1.3L, sure is a fantastic TV/ :CD prices are tumbling every day in Indian Market with a virtual war between LG & Samsung. Perhaps by Diwali surely better deals could be available.
