It's been a while since we've reviewed a Compaq laptop and the one we've got today is a looker. Presario is a line of Compaq's that wasn't renamed when it got taken over by HP due to the reliability that it implied. The CQ 45 is another in the line of mid range laptops and seems to have a lot of promise, let's see if it delivers.

I have Compaq CQ 45 laptop.It is getting heated very badly and Fan also making more noise. Still my laptop is in Warranty period so Please suggest me the service center in Bangalore.

It is very normal for this computer to heat so bad, that is how the model works, but I recommend you to start using your warranty ASAP, you don't want to have bigger and more problems when your warranty is about to expire. As I wrote in my comment try using one of those basis (when working on a desk) it really helps!

Not satisfied with this laptop. I bought it about a year ago and it has already been repaired twice. This model seems to have problems with the screen, my laptop's screen got damaged after 8 moths of use. Recently I had to replace the adapter. It also heats very easily and the fan makes a lot of noise. I highly recommend to use a base with fans if you use it for more than 30 min. otherwise it gets really hot. Overall it is not as fast as one would expect given its components. Great looks (it you don't care about fingerprints all over the laptop) but I don't think this computer delivers.

I am Interested to buy this laptop. It seems to be the best bargain in terms of the configuration and processor we are getting. Is it reliable for durablilty and does it have any heating problem?

I have owned since Oct' 08, good laptop overall, but definitely heating problems and heavy to carry. Fan speed make loud noise and also the adapter. Otherwise the performance for multi-tasking, graphics, etc. arevery good.

Bought it last month. Great in looks but very slow booting. NOT UP TO THE MARK for Compaq/HP brand. very disappointed.

I have bought this laptop. Its really high on style and I am sure it will perform well too. The performance needs to be seen in the long run. I am sure it will live upto its name of Compaq and Hp. They are the market leaders. This laptops is fab when it comes to its looks. Great looks. Good performance.

I think this review is only 20% useful. Rest is just peace of Junk. All comparision are made with Quad Core CPUs, High End Chipsets. This is the best notbbook you can get if you want to spend 40-50k. Rviewer : Dude, this is Indian market, not US.
