Sony' much anticipated service Life with PlayStation has been delayed yet again!
Sony PlayStation's much anticipated service Life with PlayStation has been delayed yet again.
On the Sony PlayStation Blog, Noam Rimon, senior development manager at SCEA R&D, mentions that the service which is free is still being worked on and didn't specify the launch date. Announced in June for PlayStation 3, Life with PlayStation was expected to be released at the end of August.
Life with PlayStation service will have interactive content as well as channels and will allow users to view different locations on the earth with its weather information through PS3's XMB. Even select custom background music. Combined with Folding@home project, through Life with PlayStation users will contribute their PS3's processing power for projects like protein folding and devising cure various types of cancers.
Of course, PS3 users would be miffed by delay but the process work does take time. Also Sony's Home, the community based service for PlayStation Network has suffered series of delays since it announcement in 2007.
From the events and information so far, it appears that Sony will be launching both the services together. Stay tuned for more on Life and Home for PlayStation.
