iControlPad will add real controls to the iPhone via serial port, expanding the gaming possibilities of the iPhone.
Apple's iPhone has already attracted many as the next gaming platform. A bunch of homebrew and proprietary games can be played on the iPhone using emulators. Taking this opportunity, iControlPad has been working to deliver game control pad for iPhone and iPod Touch with a price tag below $30.

The makers of iControlPad will add real controls to the iPhone and that could be added to iPhone via serial port. The control pad will have digital directional pad, four face buttons, one select button and start-select buttons. All ports, camera and male-female plug connections on iPhone would be accessible using the iControlPad.
This add-on is removable anytime. The team will also release the source code and provide SDK support after releasing the iControl Pad.
Along with the iPhone and iPod Touch, the accessories market is also picking up. The iControlPad team is also looking for distributors and resellers. iPhone 3G's Indian owners and wannabe owners are already pining for such iPhone gaming accessories.
