The D90 has a 12.3 megapixel sensor, which can capture 4.5 frames per second.
The shutterbugs have their hawk-eye on Nikon's upcoming D90 Digital SLR. Earlier this month, an image of the D90 did the rounds of the Internet. Yesterday Nikon Rumors leaked official Nikon D90 pictures and specifications. Mind you, these specifications and images are 100% legit. An important feature is the 12.3 megapixel sensor, that's powerful enough to capture 4.5 frames per second.
The D90 body and buttons make it look like a refreshed version of D80 with a slightly changed thumbgrip. Users can expect good sound quality from the included video recording mode. The ISO range 200-3200 offered with additional single modes of low at 100 and high at 6400. It remains to be seen if the highest ISO mode of 6400 will increase the noise level.
White balance can be adjusted using the 420 pixel RGB matrix View Finder LCD, which also sports a LiveView button so that movies can be recorded on the default aperture. It's also speculated that D90 will have HDMI output and GPS.
In this higher megapixel race, what professional photographers really prefer is lesser noise and fast workflow with huge images which would require least possible touch-ups.

According to Vipul from Blore, the D90 he bought from US includes the kit with 18-105mm and 70-300mm lens along with 16gb card, and a bag costed me around 1500$ it means around 71000 INR. Then why the kit is not same in India that to costing more for the same. Sanjay Mashankar, Wardha Maharashtra, India
You can get the Nikon D90 with Nikon 18-105mm VR lens, 4gb SDHC card and a camera bag for Rs,70,000 at JJMehta, Dadar, Mumbai... with a 2 year Nikon India warranty!! If its 84K in Hyderabad I believe even if you get a roundtrip airticket to mumbai for 4K and spend a night at Grand Hyatt for 8K..just to buy the camera..you would still be saving a few grands...just joking!!
Camara seems to be good and I would like to purchase the same, if I am satisfied with the pricing and also the few clarifications. First of all I would like to know the price of this camera to reach me at Jalandhar in Indian Rupees. Second thing whether this camera holds ccd sensor or cmos. Whether this camera can fight the against light condition which particularly gives problem in the morning at approx 7 am to 9 am. Or this camera also will need the filter as required in other cameras.
If the prices are satisfactory I would certainly like to purchase the same.
I was asking the same Question
& now im back from the store,
Its 30K , i think we can buy it
only if we are sure , we r goin to
use it more than twice a year
Have fun :)
the price right now in the US is 1299 USD. in India it is around 82,000 - 86,000 INR if you buy the body+18-105mm VR lens. this lens is the default lens that comes with it. Without the lens, the body only will cost about 60,000 - 65,000 INR.
