A Nike app for the iPhone has been leaked by a French site. But is it real or an elaborate fake?
Images of an upcoming Nike+ application for the iPhone and the iPod touch had leaked on the French blog site iPhon.fr and were doing the blog rounds. The images reveal a touch-based interface for managing runs and workouts.
While the basic components seem similar to those of Nike + iPod kit, some have speculated that the iPhone version of the application might make use of 3G by allowing runners to track progress using GPS. Plus the sensors could be replaced by iPhone's accelerometer to help measure distance traveled, writes PC Advisor.
However, AppleInsider claims that these leaked images are neither the work of Apple nor of Nike. Both companies are still working on the application and might take some more time to reach the hands of iPhone users.
